Right now i'm sitting in Afghanistan thinking about what to do with my car. I put on a 3076r T3 KIT a couple of weeks before I left and had every intentions of building/stroking the motor and have the exterior touched up. I loved the car, I mean the project is almost complete, if i would go with the 2.3 and the hta3076 I only expect 40 more whp, so the power difference won't be that great. The trqe would be, but i don't know if it would be a deal breaker.

The longer i'm away from the car, the more i lose interest. Especially because i bought a vw tiguan for the wife right before i left. The thing isn't nearly as fast, but i enjoyed the quite exhaust, and all 200hp that thing had to offer. Their was something about the ride quality and comfort.

Anyways I think I have two choices here, sell the car. Which i don't think would be hard with 44k on it, two sets of rims, every single stock part except the turbo, plus all the mods. I mean i'll ask 19k for it. Than buy a luxury performance sedan.

Or keep it build it, reclear and buy a 2000 honda civic.

I don't know guys, i'm trying to stay neutral on this. What say you?

Wheel Offset question - would appreciate any feedback

So my gf has a 2006 Acura MDX, and she wants to buy a full size spare. I have two extra mr bbs wheels.

Her wheels are 17x8, same bolt pattern - but the offset is +45. I believe the offset of the bbs wheels are +38.

If we put the right size tire on my bbs, and she had a flat - how bad would it to be to drive with the bbs as a full size spare for a few days? Or would the -7mm difference in offset put undue stress on the wheel bearings, or affect handling adversely?

The MDX is full time AWD, but if the tire sizes were the same, I can't imagine there would be any extra stress on the diff.

My main concern is if it ends up being a front wheel that goes flat, cornering could be slightly wonky.

Any thoughts? Comments? Snide remarks?
